Ever wondered what it might feel like to tick off all the destinations from your travel list? That must be the most fun and satisfactory thing to do! Our earth is so breathtakingly beautiful and there is an unlimited number of places that you can visit to make your journey memorable. While some of you might already have a bucket list and are all set to get started, here’s one for the beginners who are confused about their choice of places or even for the ones who want to add another to the list. So without further ado, let’s jump right into it!
1. Venice, Italy
Venice is one of the most charming, strikingly beautiful, and magnificent places to be. This floating city is always on the bucket list of lovebirds who cast a spell on them with its dynamic superiority over other places. If you wish to visit Venice, the first and absolute unmissable destination should be the Grand Canal. It is a water ride, preferably you should opt for the Gondola ride amidst the surreal palaces and supernatural, ghost-like beauty, and its time travel to the Early Renaissance era. On its bank stands grandly the Doge’s palace, claiming superiority over all the other palaces, and is marvelously decorated. Basilica Di San Marco and Gallerie Dell’accademia, Rialto Bridge and Ca Rezonnico are another spot on places to visit apart from the several others.
A soothing, calming yet adventurous, and aesthetically beautiful beach location is the Maldives. It is known for its lavish water villas, resorts, a lot of tropical green aesthetic, summer and spring energy all over with amazing water sports, spas, and sightseeing tour places. The best places to visit in the Maldives are The Male City, the capital of the Maldives known for its beaches and variety of eateries and restaurants, its culture, and heritage. An unbelievable beauty is the Vaadhoo Island where an unusual phenomenon happens on the shores of the waters where tiny blue dots appear giving it the look of a pitch-black starlit night sky. The view is absolutely extraordinary. Maafushi Beach is the most beautiful sea beach in the Maldives. Fulhadhoo Beach, Addu beach are some of the other attractions in the place.
3. Japan in cherry blossom season
Japan might not be on everyone’s bucket list, but it is not your average place with scenic beauty. It is quite an interesting place to be, however, if you do visit Japan for its scenic beauty, you should definitely go in the month of February, March, or April, that is when you get to experience the spectacular view of the cherry blossoms. The pink serenity and shedding petals are sure to get you hooked to Japan and you will want to experience the pink petal-fall rather than your regular snowfall. You also have the exceptional Mt. Fuji, Naoshima Island, the city of Hiroshima, and also Tohoku. Apart from the scenery, Japan carries in itself quite a few other tourist spots like Asakusa which is a place particularly for tourists, Tokyo Station which is a voyage to the old times since its station was built over a century ago, Yoyogi Park is a fun place to visit especially for kids’ amusement. A very interesting place is Yurakucho where there are remote pubs under the railroad tracks.
4. Pamukkale, Turkey
Pamukkale is definitely not your regular place to visit, which makes it all the more alluring to take a trip to this ‘city of minerals’. Pamukkale is a natural spa place with mineral-clad shores by the beautiful turbulent waters. Turkish people refer to it as the castle of cotton since it is so fair and white all over and is filled with flowing streams and springs and also travertines. The only con is the availability of hotels since there are not many presents. However, if you can book in advance then everything should work out well. Especially for nature lovers this is a divine and surreal experience and should definitely be one of the topmost places on their bucket list.
5. Bali, Indonesia
Many of you must have included this island of dreams in your bucket list, and it is definitely worth it. Bali is a place with almost everything that you will want to see in one single place. It is known across the world for its beautiful rice terraces, aromatic cuisine, beautiful beaches, and a plethora of culture and history. Bali perfectly blends leisure and adventure with its ornate temples, boundless coastline, some of the world’s best coral reefs, waterfalls, and retreats. It is a place to let yourself loose maybe after a month of heavy workload. It will offer spiritual arousal as well as hardcore fun for the ultimate party lovers. Tulamben’s coral reefs, Kintamani’s mountain peaks, Seminyak and Kuta’s beaches, and beautiful pathways, and Ubud’s old temples and typical village life, Bali have got it all.
6. Santorini, Greece
The place has been carved out from a volcanic eruption and has formed a Caldera. The Minoan settlement was completely disrupted by the volcano centuries ago, as it was one of the most destructive volcanoes in the history of the world. This is the perfect example of beauty emerging from imperfections making it such a big place of attraction for its visitors today. It is but a small island filled with beaches and several villages, Pyrgos being a very famous one for its castle and churches, Venetian and Byzantine in style. The sunset here is especially mesmerizing. Akrotiri is another archeological site. Many magazines and travel websites, including Travel+Leisure Magazine, the BBC, US News, and TripAdvisor, have named Santorini as the best island in the world.
7. Ladakh, India
Wish there were enough words to describe the beauty of Ladakh. It consists of the beauty of colorful mountains, and the tranquility of deep blue lakes. Bike enthusiasts to people seeking peace and wish to de-stress themselves, Ladakh has got your back. The road journeys are absolutely unforgettable apart from the million other show-stopping places that you can visit. Pangong lake is total bliss to your eyes. The famous Bollywood film 3 idiots offers a sneak peek of the Pangong lake and is one of the most iconic scenes in Bollywood. It is rather hard to describe how breathlessly beautiful the lake is. Lying on the background mountains of several colors, where on the shores lie millions of beautiful pebbles and stones, Pangong lake is completely unbelievable. Another beauty is the Nubra Valley where the scenery is at its peak. Starting from rare and infamous species of birds to other local animals including the majestic and endangered snow leopard residing in the higher mountains, Nubra valley is beyond your imagination. You need to take a trip to be able to understand what is being said. Other famous places of tourist interest include Khardungla pass, Tsomoriri lake, Diskit monastery, Shanti stupa.
8. The Great Barrier Reef, Australia
If you are a travel enthusiast, this should come as no surprise to you. The Great Barrier Reef is nature’s most astounding wonder. The best thing is that you get to feel all the flora and fauna and take a very close look at it, it’s all in front of you and is not from some discovery channel telecast. Snorkeling, scuba diving, aircraft or helicopter flights, bare boats (self-sail), glass-bottomed boat viewing, semi-submersibles and informative trips, cruise ship tours, whale watching, and swimming with dolphins are just a few of the activities available to visitors visiting the Great Barrier Reef.
